The immensely coveted sneakers sitting on top of placed on opulent gold mirror “pedestals” represents the luxury status that culture has now placed on sneakers.
Today that “gold” is found in materialistic and overhyped sneakers who’s source of creativity and inspiration is the very community that it is hypnotizing. The mirrors help the viewer to reflect on to themselves and the values that they hold.
